Our story

Bringing the soul of African cuisine to your door

Africanlicious is a marketplace built to celebrate African culture through food — connecting home cooks, professional chefs, restaurants, food trucks and grocery vendors with people who crave authentic, well‑made meals.

Why we exist

Across the diaspora, authentic African food can be hard to find — and the talented people who make it often have nowhere to sell. We built Africanlicious to fix both problems at once: give everyday food entrepreneurs a simple way to reach customers, and give customers a trustworthy way to discover and order the flavors of home.

What we deliver

Authentic dishes
Jollof, egusi, suya, injera, tagine, achu, garba, pepper soup and hundreds more — prepared by people who grew up cooking them.
Local & global
Currently serving Munich, London, Paris, Lagos and Maryland, with international shipping on shelf‑stable items.
Real people
Every order supports an independent chef, restaurant or vendor — not a faceless chain.
Culture first
We invest in the stories, recipes and craft behind every dish — food is how culture travels.

How it started

Africanlicious began as a simple question: why is it so hard to find the food we grew up eating when we move abroad? We started with a handful of chefs in a handful of cities, and grew by listening — to cooks who needed better tools, to customers who wanted faster, fresher options, and to delivery partners who wanted fair, transparent pay.

Where we’re going

We’re expanding city by city, partnering with kitchens, grocers and couriers who share our standards for quality and hospitality. If you’d like to cook with us, deliver with us, or bring Africanlicious to your city, we’d love to hear from you.
