Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Africanlicious. By using the service, you agree to them.
Last updated: June 2026
1. The Africanlicious service
Africanlicious is an online marketplace that lets customers discover, order and pay for food and related products offered by independent chefs, restaurants and vendors. Africanlicious does not itself cook or sell the food; it provides the technology, payment processing and customer support that connect customers, vendors and delivery partners.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to place an order or to register as a vendor or delivery partner. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Keep your password confidential.
3. Orders and payment
When you place an order you enter into a contract directly with the vendor that fulfils it. Africanlicious facilitates the transaction and collects payment on the vendor’s behalf. Prices include applicable taxes and fees displayed at checkout.
4. Delivery and pickup
Estimated delivery times are provided by the vendor and Africanlicious based on typical conditions. Actual times may vary due to weather, traffic or kitchen volume. You are responsible for being available to receive the order at the address you provide.
5. Vendor responsibilities
Vendors are responsible for the quality, safety, labelling and legal compliance of the products they sell, including local food‑safety, hygiene and licensing requirements. Vendors agree to the additional Vendor Agreement provided during onboarding.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service — including, without limitation: posting unlawful content, harassing other users, attempting to interfere with the platform, or using it to commit fraud. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
7. Refunds and cancellations
Our refund policy is described on the Refund Policy page and forms part of these terms. Where local consumer law provides additional rights, those rights apply.
8. Intellectual property
Africanlicious and the Africanlicious logo are trademarks. All software, content and design provided through the service are owned by Africanlicious or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non‑exclusive licence to use the service for its intended purpose.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Africanlicious is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email or in‑app notice; continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
